How to Get Rid of Chlamydia

Did you have fun that night about a week ago? Now you've got this burning feeling when you pee and there's funny stuff coming out of your junk? You're probably thinking, "I think I've got Chlamydia" and you're wondering why the hell your "partner" didn't let you know before you made the two-backed monster. Chances are your partner didn't know they had it. Luckily for you, Chlamydia (if diagnosed correctly) is one of the easier sexually transmitted diseases to get rid. So, sit back, relax, and let me tell you a little bit about it.

Chlamydia Treatment

Chlamydia is caused by a bacteria called Chlamydia trachomatis. It is first in all commonly reported sexually transmitted diseases, which is sort of good for you and sort of bad for you. It's good that Chlamydia is common because it's easily cured, and it's bad because most women who have it don't know they have it and most of the men don't either. It's the other unlucky half of us that have to deal with the symptoms. So, here's what you need to do:

First you need to identify the symptoms to make sure it's Chlamydia. Symptoms can include: fluid discharge, burning while you pee, lower back pain, fever, nausea, and swelling of the testicles.

You can ask for a Chlamydia culture, which will require that the doctor take a sample (usually with a cotton swab) from the urethra or from the cervix. The problem with this test is the length of time it takes to obtain a definite diagnosis, and generally speaking it's more expensive than other tests.

You can ask for a Chlamydia NAAT test, which will require that the doctor takes a urine sample-far less painful than a cotton swab being stuck up your junk, guys. Basically, this will scan the genetic material found in the sample and alert the chemist if any strains of Chlamydia trachomatis are found. It's very accurate and very quick.

You can skip the doctor and order a Chlamydia test online. Usually they ask for a urine sample to be mailed to them, and then they do a NAAT test on it. This option is for those of us who want to spare ourselves the shame of sitting in front of a doctor or having to tell someone else that you were too stupid not to use a condom (blame conservatives).

Antibiotics are the cure for Chlamydia. In every instance that a person is diagnosed with Chlamydia, they are prescribed an antibiotic to clear up the infection. Luckily for you, Chlamydia is one of the most easily remedied sexually transmitted diseases out there. Just wear a condom next time, okay?

Facts about Chlamydia Trachomatis:

Chlamydia can be contracted from anal sex, sexual intercourse, and oral sex with an infected person, and Chlamydia can potentially sterilize the person infected. Dental dams and condoms are a requirement these days, in light of these facts.

Remember that more than half the people who have Chlamydia don't know they have it because they don't feel the symptoms, so get checked if you've been doing the nasty a lot lately or with someone you don't know well.

Online Chlamydia and tests are fast and embarrassment-free, and expensive, but the price varies from one provider to the other, so make sure you compare prices before shelling out that money.
