How To Get Rid of Mucus

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

Mucus only presents itself as a problem when you notice it. In the form of boogers, snot, phlegm and multi-colored goo coming out of your body. But, it is there for a reason and you don’t really want to get rid of it, at least not all of it. Mucus protects your moist skin and tissue from damaging contaminates like dust, pollen, bacteria and viruses. It traps these items in its stickiness and expels it from your system. Unfortunately it doesn’t catch everything and sometimes you get infections. Now your body goes into overdrive producing more mucus than before trying to flush the infection out. Most of the time this system works and you get better. Occasionally it’s not enough, and you need help. In this article I recently completed I go into detail as to the most popular/successful things you can do. I hope you enjoy reading How to get rid of mucus. Let me know what you think.

Get Rid of Zombies

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

As time progresses, the world becomes a more and more frightening place. Nuclear weapons. Global warming. Killer whales. The ever-increasing threat of a zombie apocalypse. And so far you’ve managed to survive them all, even avoid the zombie infection that will soon be the crushing end of Western civilization. Being the savvy survivalist that you are, you’ve managed to see that all of your basic needs are taken care of: food, shelter, zombie-infection-free water, large stashes of batteries for your PSP, and stacks of bodice-ripper romance novels. Your survival of the undead invasion is all but ensured. But that darned zombie horde sure does break up those backyard picnics. You simply have to get rid of those zombies. Not sure how to do it? Read my article to find out how to get rid of zombies.

Get Rid of Goth Kids

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

I’ve spent quite a few years on the Gothic side of life. Okay, so maybe I wasn’t that cool, even in the eyes of all the Gothic babes out there, but I learned a thing or two about how to get rid of goth kids. After years of my parents trying to extinguish my Gothic side, my closet is still filled with Gothic shoes and boots, my music collection soothes the Gothic heart and (lack of) soul, my room is decorated with Gothic art, and my makeup bag is still filled with black (yet sparkly) cosmetics. Goth is the forever undead subculture. It is difficult to get rid of. If one of your loved ones has gone Gothic, you may be quite concerned. But worry not, thanks to my personal experience, you can still get rid of goth kids. Your “normal,” polo-wearing, perky and positive loved-one may not be so sunk in this sinister lifestyle yet. Just read this article to find out how.

Barking Mad

Thursday, September 11th, 2008

Barking Mad, a self-described mommy blogger, recently posted a write-up of How to Get Rid of Things, How to Clean Things and some of our smaller projects. This woman should be writing for the Washington Post. She’s good. Maybe I’m just biased because the article focuses a lot on me, Captain Important. Anyway, go check out her article and then make your way through the rest of her site. She’s becoming quite the accomplished photographer and an incredibly dedicated member of the blogosphere.

Thanks, Aud!

Comments on the Get Rid of Things Blog

Comments have been enabled. Sorry about any inconvenience this has caused. Those of you who have commented in the past may want to try posting your comments again. A function within Wordpress has been moderating comments without notifying me through email. They were all lost in the update. Rest assured your comments were not moderated because we didn’t find them informative or relevant. I feel secure in blaming this snafu on our robot overlords. Did I say overlords? I mean protectors.

Get Rid of Flea Beetles

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

It’s been a while since I’ve contributed to the site. I’ve been a bit of a hiatus, working on a new contributor inclusion system and a new business model. But that’s neither here nor there. You’re here to figure out how to get rid of flea beetles. It’s not easy, my friend. Flea beetles are one of the harder garden pests to control because of the variety, resilience, and mobility of these tiny beetles. In this particular article, I’ve attempted to cover the basics of non-toxic, organic flea beetle control. It’s important to keep in mind that the techniques detailed here aren’t just applicable to a flea beetle infestation. Most of these pest control strategies are what we call cultural controls. They’ve been used for a very long time to promote healthy gardens. In other words, much of the information in this article is common knowledge–things that a green thumb probably knows already.

If you’ve got any comments or suggestions, I would post them in the Gardening Forum.

Get Rid of Insomnia

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

In high school, if I only got four hours of sleep in a night, I wore the next day’s fatigue like a badge of honor: “Look at me, I’m an overachiever!” But now that I’m in my twenties and no longer among the legions of overworked American teenagers, a night of paltry sleep can mean only one thing, and it’s nothing to be proud of. Insomnia. I’m lucky to be one of those people who only occasionally have trouble sleeping. But occasionally is annoying enough, and even we “good sleepers” are interested in how to get rid of insomnia altogether. On the other hand, if you suffer from frequent or chronic sleep problems, getting rid of insomnia is not just a hobby—it’s a priority. Lucky for you, my latest article is full of tips to help you get a good night’s sleep.
