I’ve been struck with heat rash a few times. It happened more when I was younger and heavier…but holy hell…what a pain. Every time it’s happened to me it’s been between my thighs when I was far away from anywhere or anything that would help me get rid of heat rash. It hurt so damn bad I could barely walk. It made me feel like a bow legged cowboy. The last time it happened I was out camping and I thought it would be a good idea to walk all the way around the little lake we were camping by. The lake was bigger than it looked and about half way around, naturally, it hit. I vowed then and there to never let it happen again. Every time I go somewhere now, at least when it’s hot and I know I’m gonna be active, I take measures both to avoid heat rash and to treat heat rash if I happen to get it.
