Get Rid of Mites

What we have here is an overview about getting rid of mites: dust mites, ear mites, spider mites, and scabies (itch mites). As usual with our overview articles the most simple and effective treatments are listed along with the species or type of pest. More mite treatments are listed below, with a bit of discourse about the merits (or lack thereof) of permethrin-based mite control agents. If you can, you want to stick to sulfur (sulphur) for mites that are classified as human pests (scabies, for instance). While insecticidal soaps should be the first line of defense against garden pest mites, like spider mites, coupled, perhaps, with the introduction of predatory mites (beneficial biological control we call it). Ear mites are taken care of with mineral oil and a caring hand.

It’s all very simple. Here’s a link to the article, How to Get Rid of Mites. I’ve finished a more comprehensive article on ear mites, and will be publishing that soon as well. Enjoy what we have to offer so far, and you can look forward to an article about spider mites as well, which will go in a new section all about gardening problems. Spring has sprung and we’re all over it.

In december of 2006 my dog ran away from home. He returned home three hours later and was covered in what seemed to be dead animal. When he returned home I couldn’t bathe him so I left him in the garage overnight. The next day, I bathed my dog and thought everthing was fine. About a week later, I started to receive bites on my body and noticed my dog was scatching alot. I immidiately bought some frontline medicine, because I thought my dog had fleas. A few weeks went by and I was still getting bites and my dog was still scatching. I didn’t see any fleas, but I noticed bites on my dog. The bites the dog had resembled the bites that I had. I then called my vet and took my dog to see her. She had said that I was having a allegic reaction to my dog. I had said to her that I can feel something biting me when I pet my dog but I’m not seeing anything bite me and later I am developing a bite mark and also developed ring worm. The vet put my dog on medicine for allergies. I was so frustrated by the vet visit that I went to a dermatologist. The dermatologist confirmrd that the marks on me were bites and I probably got ringworm from my dog. I later took my dog to another vet that seemed to think my dog had mites. He also put my dog on medicine and gave me a sulfur dip. I have been dipping my dog every five to seven days since january and my dog still has bugs and I am still getting bites on me. If anyone has any solutions on what I can do to help my dog I would greatly appriciate the feedback.
