So many of us have piles of old or unwanted books at home, whether they are used college textbooks we’ll never need again, rare copies of hardbacks or just piles of unwanted paperback books. If none of your friends like to read, consider donating the books to a non-profit organization that collects and redistributes books, or possibly a local organization looking to hold a book drive to raise profits. Many places in your area may be interested in taking your unwanted books, including local schools, churches, daycares, rehabilitation centers and shelters for women and children. But if none of those options work for you, get creative. Books provide us with pages of beautiful scripting, illustrations, unique covers and many raw materials for creative projects at home, such as scrapbooking, collage or papermaking.
