Get Rid of Mushrooms

Mushrooms are one of those things that some people love and others hate. Personally I love to eat mushrooms. But then, this article mostly deals with the inedible and occasionally poisonous variety. Fungus have a very important role in the ecosystem. They love to eat things that are high in nutrients, like rotting trees, leaves, poop and other detritus. If it weren’t for fungus there would be a lot more stuff piled up on the forest floor. If you have mushrooms showing up in your lawn it is probably because there are too many nutrients there, from over fertilizing. Along with too much moisture, from over watering. These are the two most important variable for fungus to live and reproduce. Since mushrooms are not the fungus itself and just the fruiting bodies, mushrooms wont show up if the fungus is not getting enough to eat and drink. Unlike humans, plants and fungus usually only reproduce when things are going well and they can afford to expend the energy to do so.
