I have the same problem now in the Apt I am in, I get it in my bath room fan + threw the walls in the bed room. This building is new, but it is for low income / disabled / elderly tenants. I e-mailed the doctor about it & he told me that there are no cancer problems or 2 hand smoking.

This was my $100 worth :-)>

I had that problem a few years ago in my old apt. The dude next door just couldn't stop smoking and would pour through our vents. We ended up saran-wrapping all the vents in the kitchen. Problem solved! :D

I live in a large older apartment complex and noticed after a month of living here that there is a weird, irritating smell in my house. I don't smoke but can smell stale smoke. I believe that the apartments that I am attached to all share the same ventillation system. I have spent a lot of money on plug ins(even the febreeze),carpet freshers, vent clips and still that smell prevails. what can I do!!
