<description>&#60;p&#62;That all depends on how often your cat's/dog's ears build up. If I were going to put a rough estimate down, I'd say once every 2 weeks or once a month. But if you notice your pet scratching their ears a lot or shaking their head, it's probably a sign that something needs to be done sooner than later.&#60;/p&#62;

<description>&#60;p&#62;Enough to cover the entirety of the inside of your dog's ears. This can be done with you thumb. I would say three to four drops for a medium/large dog. Let the mineral oil sit for a while and loosen the debris/exudate, and then clean them out with a cotton ball.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Medicated ear mite treatments aren't necessarily bad. In fact, they're good if you think your pet is suffering from a secondary infection caused by your pet scratching the irritated area. Infections are bad. Medicine is good. But if you're just trying to keep your pet's ears clean, I would go with mineral oil and cotton balls.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Note: don't use Q-tips. The chances of you slipping and doing more damage to the ear are greater with a Q-tip.
