For the last 2 months I've been battling Sugar ants in my pantry. I keep my kitchen clean, I try not to leave anything out on the floor or countertops or in the sink. Which with two small kids is extremely hard. But the ants aren't anywhere but in the pantry. I've bought so many clips to protect all of our food and I have to empty out the pantry and wipe down the shelves every 2 weeks. We've had the exterminator come to spray 3 times in the last 2 months. I don't know what to do - they're driving me INSANE! I'm going to try some Bay Leaves (mentioned in this site) but I was wondering if anyone else knows of anything else.

I've heard cucumber peels work too.

The "scouts" leave a scent trail for the others to follow..so first..break that scent trail..by washing down the area with soap. Remember that a crumb to you is like a huge wedding cake to an ant. re direct the ants OUTSIDE with bait stations. Do all ant control (Except pharoah ant) OUTSIDE.
