   I live in a log home with a cathedral ceiling that has tongue and groove wood ceiling with a small space then sheets of white styrofoam then the roof. Well, for several years I have heard chewing and scratching sounds coming from the ceiling plus pulverized white stuff falls from the ceiling when it's really windy.

   I had a pest control company come and sprayed lots of stuff, left and I still have critters above the ceiling. Help! I have visions of the ceiling falling down in about ten years if we can't figure this out and GET RID OF THEM.

   What did the Pest Control Co. say it is? Did they give you any kind of warranty? Most reputable companies will give you a service ticket with (these items are required by most State Dept. of Agriculture which regulates pest control co's.)1 Target Pest ie. mice, birds,ants, etc. 2 Pesticides applied and where 3 Time of application 4 Warranty info.

   No I had no warranty and frankly this pest control did not seem to know what to do with critters chewing my house up. I would like to know if anyone else has had this problem and how did they get rid of them.

   You might have mice in the ceiling. They can get between the walls, between the ceiling and the floor of the 2nd story. Never ever take a service from a pest control company who will not give a warranty. They are rip off artists. Choose a nationally known company, even though it may cost a little bit more. The piece of mind you will get is worth the price. The exterminator may have to come back two or three times to get whatever critter is making this mess for you.
