Can you please share with me a good company that I can cosolidate my debts with.
I just graduated college with a $20,000 stafford loan and I owe about $6000 in credit cards.
Would anyone suggest I combine them or do it separately?
I have no idea how to do this and am going to read up a little but anything will help here.

You have a very similar situation to mine. I didn't consolidate because I wanted to have the lowest possible payment and the stafford loan ended up being better than any of the other offers. The main thing to look for is the interest rate. Over 20 or 30 years you can end up paying back as much as 60000 on that 20000. So be careful with the interest rates. As for the 6000 I don't think the Stafford Loan people will let you consolidate to pay credit card debt off. So if you really really want to combine them shop around for a good loan company that will let you consolidate. Wells Fargo is a good place to start or whatever bank you use. Go and talk to a loan counselor at your bank and they will be able to point you in the right direction. Otherwise I know of people who have said that Fanni Mae is a good Loan place. I know it gets frustrating because there are like 1000 different places that say you can consolidate with them, but if you look at the payment structure it usually isn't better than Stafford. Remember is you choose to pay your 6000 credit card balance and just pay the minimum due it will take nearly forever to pay off. It's always good with any loan to pay whatever you can above the minimum payment because it will automatically go to the principal and not to paying interest.
