I once again came out of lurkers lair, because of a serious situation that I have not been able to find an answer. This to about recalls of dog food due to salmonella.I was also rereading a few past forums and was concerned about (member) Duanes Cocker with a stomache problem.
1. My puppy got sick for the first time ever, she eats Purina Beneful. Does anyone know if this is one of the recalls? I do not think I have ever found so much non-information on this prolem--even when posted on MSNBC.
2. Duane--you out there? how is your dog?
If anyone has any info, I'd be very grateful. She is my best friend and I'm training her to be my service dog, after losing my other baby a year ago! She is already aware she is to be my aide, just kinda over does it yet, but I really would like to know what food or foods that have been found contaminated. It would be devestating for me to lose her, especially if it were my fault. (former landlord killed my Sadie Marie--to young to go and a miracle for me)
Her food does not list "meat biproducts", so I know she is safe from that, unless someone finds this to have been removed from the ingredient list. (meat biproducts a REAL horror story--the guys I went to High School with drove the trucks, so I know first hand what meat biproduct means.)
There is so much giberish, even on direct websites, but no actual information about what kind/brand/States involved, ect.
