   My stepdaughter's cat, Missy, died yesterday. Missy was treated with carbaryl flea powder on Friday. Aftewards, she licked herself, as all cats like to do. She went into seizure shortly after. The vet said it was a direct cause of carbaryl (Sevin). The Canadian Veterinarian's Association has been trying to ban the use of carbaryl in flea powder for that exact reason! DO NOT USE IT ON YOUR CAT.

   I'm sorry to hear about your cat. You must be mourning an incredible loss. I lost my little Oliver to FIP a couple of months ago. There's still a little part of me that feels empty because of him.

   But, you're right. Don't use Sevin around cats. I think I've mentioned that before.

   Damn..I thought that junk was taken off the market!! NEVER use pesticides around cats, birds.. parrots and paraketes are REALLY sensitive, fish or baby HUMANS!! I say this OVER and OVER..Sorry DeeW..
