we have ducks all over our lawn and theres nasty poop all over the driveway help
Hey, I don't have much experience dealing with ducks. So, I contacted Tom Starling at Bird-X.com (a very trusted company in the pest control industry) to see if he might have any advice. Hopefully, he'll get back to me soon.
For the time being, you might want to let your dog handle duck diplomacy matters, or buy a bottle of BirdShield bird repellent to spray on your yard. It's a biodegradable taste aversion product, and it may help keep the ducks off your grass if they're foraging for seed or just grazing on the greens.
I've seen people use fishing line to deter birds from landing. They can't see it and when they try to land on it they don't like it. Tie it in a grid pattern across that part of the lawn. Of course there is a chance of duck getting tangled, but if you want the upper hand in this war this may be your best tactic or some variation.
To elaborate on Wizzo's post, maybe you could try using camo netting, like the kind hunters use. It may be easier than stringing fishing line over the entire yard and would have a similar effect.
