I have a 17 inch monitor the {big one} and I can't seem to even give it away. They will not allow me to throw it in the trash. No one seems to be collecting them not even the county dump.

YARD SALE!!!! Make some cash for sitting around one Sat. morning. Even if you sell it for 5 bucks you've "recycled" and maybe helped someone out that can't afford a new one..Now get busy and empty those closets of all that "other" stuff.
Just found out Best Buy will take 1 monitor per week per family and on top of that, they give you a $10 gift cert
Now thats using the ol brain and a great idea..what do you say..J?
I like those numbers.
wow thats awesome.......I have a few crt monitors.....looks like I'll be heading to best buy :D
I have donated a number of monitors to local charities. If it works good, most charities will not turn it down. Also, we have an electronics drop-off next to our dump. It is free to drop off any electronic devices, which they tear apart for the rare metals and remove the dangerous materials before trashing them. I will have to look into whether or not Best Buy still gives credits for old monitors. I think I might still have a few laying around!
