I think I found it!! At least since I've used it there haven't been any little visitors.
Cider Vinegar!! Perhaps any vinegar will work. I wiped it around the windows where the bugs congregated - had had 3 dozen on Tuesday before I used the vinegar, 4 on Wednesday and one on Thursday and none since!!!!
I got the idea from a visit, years ago, to the California coast when we had lunch at an outdoor restaurant. There were bowls of vinegar on the tables to keep the bees away.
