Our scottie got skunked last night. She was sprayed in the face and came out of the woods rolling in the grass to try to wipe off the smell. I took her to the bathtub and grabbed the leftover tomato juice from the frige. Though she didn't like it, I doused her with the cold liquid over the front half of her body, waited a couple of minutes, then washed her with dog shampoo. This morning she is fine, no oder, but some stiff hair.
The runner at the front door will need to be cleaned, as she wiped herself on it when she came in and it smells up the whole house. I will try some of the suggestions here and see if they work, but that can be replaced if need be.
