Get Rid of Thingers,
Is there a way to block all of the annoying ads that show up on the side bars and banners of so many websites these days (including yours). They are against my religion.
I know they have pop up blockers. Why can't we block google ads? Is it because "the google" wants to control everything, and makes enormous amounts of money by poisoning our minds with targeted ads? We even allow them to read what we are writing so they can target the ads further. There is something very wrong with that. Don't you agree?

The Google is your new god, knave! It's not your place to question its presence. It exists whether you accept it into your heart or not.
But seriously, those ads are the only reason we are able to spend our days doing research and writing articles for you. Sure, they can be annoying sometimes, and spooky at other times, but we actually get people telling us that they're happy we have them because it gives people options when they're searching for solutions to their problems.
Personally, I don't think I've ever clicked on an ad in my life. That's just me.

Hey Billirubin ...you know that "bonus card" you use at the grocery store, that thing they call a "driver's license" you carry LOL..smile..you're in a data base. Look yourself up on this internet, they know things about you that you've forgotten. It's the future baby. PS Love the name.

T'is true. Marketing specialists have been tracking you and your behaviors for decades. There are white papers written about you and your family that companies like Walmart and Target use as references when they're designing store layouts. I can pay $50 today and learn just about anything I want to know about you and your family, including where you lived, previous addresses, credit information, etc--just about anything really.
So, what Google is doing is hardly news, and it's a lot less evil than anything real marketing companies do. Watch the movie "Consuming Kids." You'll throw your television in the garbage and start homeschooling your children.

Pop-up ads or pop-ups are a form of online advertising on the World Wide Web intended to attract web traffic or capture email addresses. It works when certain web sites open a new web browser window to display advertisements. The pop-up window containing an advertisement is usually generated by JavaScript, but can be generated by other means as well. But i think google as a webmaster is trying to do something about it!!

So why do some security systems let Java in? I know my Norton hates it and will fight me to the death over their downloads.

That's a question I couldn't answer with any authority. Java is good. It makes the internet much easier to use. The problem is, it also makes the internet more dangerous, because people use Java to attack you the same way they use any other platform. So, tell Norton it's okay if there's a little Java on the page and then cease all visits to shady porn sites or sites claiming to have the latest nude pictures of (insert celebrity here).

I would never ever look at celebrity porn sites!! Hey did you see the one comparing Paris Hilton and Pam Anderson's ability to ...uh Oh... never mind?!
