In the last month we have started to get a lot of wasps in our backyard. I haven't seen a nest anywhere and always see the wasps flying around and sitting in the grass. I have 2 small children and it makes me very nervous to let them outside now. What can I do to get rid of these wasps and how do I know if I have a nest? Please help!

How do I get rid of wasps when I can't find a nest

Jpar, I just dropped a post here with a link to some images of a yellow jacket nest underground. The way to find the nest is to wait until dusk, when the light is warm and anything that flies around is easy to see...you should notice plenty of activity near the nest around this time because the wasps are returning to the nest for the evening.
