How do I get rid of ticks in my trees etc; I put out granules on the ground that work for that, but they are still in my trees and jump onto my head when I walk under them. tks

I am unaware of any techniques for controlling ticks in your trees. It sounds like a pretty good plot for a bad movie on the science fiction channel. Does anyone else have any ideas for yardlover? I'm baffled. I guess I would suggest a barrier treatment applied to the trunks of your trees? Maybe? You may want to contact your local extension office to get a better handle on what you're dealing with.

It would be great to get rid of ticks in my yard I've already found two of them on me and the state gov said that something like 40% of ticks this year have lime disease.

That is how ticks operate. They are looking for a host..whether animal or human. Try reppellant or stay away from the overhang as much as possible. Always check yourself after being outside and DO NOT crush a tick that's biting..Put Vaseline on it throughly and it will back out...THEN go ahead and seek your revenge!
Your last resort is pesticides UNDER the foliage.
