If you're still finding skunks in your yard, chances are they're feeding on grubs and worms that reach the surface after it rains. There are such things as skunk repellents in granule form that you can spread around your yard where you think they might be hiding or gaining entrance. Whether this is the best way to get rid of skunks remains a hot topic for debate on many gardening forums.
Persuading the skunk to find a different home is a good way to get rid of skunks. Do some searching and try to find out where exactly these skunks are holing up. If it's between April and September, there may be babies that can't get out of the hole on their own. If that's the case you'll have to wait until you know they're all out feeding. Otherwise, if you know they're gone, use a piece of fencing dug far enough into the earth to prevent them from burrowing their way back in.

Once it's trapped, carefully approach the trap with a large sheet in front of you, laying the sheet over the top of the trap. Then it's up to you to relocate your little friend.

Professional Skunk Removal If you don't feel like you can tackle this subject on your own, then perhaps it's time to call in the pros. I know of an old couple that often times call the sheriffs when they want to get rid of some skunks, and the sheriffs around these here parts are more than happy to wave their shotguns around, hootin' and hollerin' and making fun with their boomsticks. If you don't think you want a bunch of trigger happy cops running around your yard, then it would be a good idea to call your local pest control agency to get an estimate for their services. Be prepared to answer a lot of questions, unless your local pest control service is the real friendly type and they're willing to come to your home and assess the situation for free.
