Years ago, my hillbilly neighbor/landlords starting growing a population of inbred stray cats. And yet, if one skunk showed up in the area, they would hunt it down (in town, illegally) and shoot it. They disposed of the carcasses by dumping them twenty feet from their own home. They kept shooting skunks without for a second questioning what might be attracting them in the first place. They ran around with guns instead of trapping the very trappable creature. Their idiocy inspired me to write this article. Sane, humane skunk control is what it's all about.
The problem with raccoons is that they're as destructive as they are cute. When I see one out in the woods I can't help but imagine how awesome it would be to itch him under his adorable little chin. When I see one around the yard, I can't help but imagine how awesome it would be to relieve that itch on my trigger finger. Unfortunately, I live in town and guns aren't an option. Raccoon traps, raccoon repellents, and raccoon deterrents, however, are. Intrigued? Check out my article on getting rid of raccoons.
